Welcome to Vanuatu Customs & Inland Revenue WEBSITE

Customs and Inland Revenue Office at Sola International Port of Entry operational again

The Office is in full operation and is manned by one full time Customs Officer. International travelling vessels including yachts, can now call into the Port of Sola for their inward and outward Customs clearance formalities. All VAT registered businesses in Sola are also encouraged to file their VAT returns and make payments at the Sola Office.

The Secretary General for TORBA Provincial Government Mrs. Ketty Napwat welcomed the development and expressed that she is delighted to see that TORBA Province is becoming a fully-fledged province with the Government agencies decentralising their services and setting up their Offices at the Provincial Government headquarter in Sola.

As a continued effort to put more emphasis on educating the people of TORBA Province on the roles of Customs in Border Protection as well as VAT as the main government revenue tax regime, an awareness session has been planned for the second week of November 2015 at the Provincial Government headquarter in Sola. The awareness will target the Provincial Government Councillors, area Secretaries and the VAT registered persons.  The strategy is to get the Councillors and area Secretaries to understand the main roles of Customs and Inland Revenue in the areas of Border Protection and Taxation. They then in turn can educate their people in villages.
